Getting to Know Victoria Wells
Have you always wanted to be a writer?
No, I can’t say that I’ve always wanted to be a writer. However, I’ve always had a love affair with books. I’ve been an avid reader since childhood.
Do you remember the very first story you ever wrote? What age were you when you wrote it? Was it romance even then?
Yes! I do remember the first story I wrote. I was seven years old and in the second grade. It was a story about farm animals. I even made my own book cover with construction paper and bounded the pages together with yarn. It wasn’t a romance, but I was very proud of it.
How much of your own personal life is reflected in your writing?
Not too much. The only thing that’s reflective of my personal life is that the heroines of my novels are nurses.
What is your favorite part of the writing process?
I love developing characters and figuring out where I’m going with the story. I especially enjoy when the characters boss me around and tell me how they want their stories written.
What is the hardest part of writing for you?
Finding the time. My life is so busy with working fulltime, raising a family and doing community work from time to time that I find it difficult sometimes to write. I’m not even going to get into all the work and time it takes to promote a book once it’s released. Time I could be writing.
What is the one story you want to write, but haven’t? What obstacles are keeping you from writing it?
Since I love Beverly Jenkins’s historical romance books I would love to write one of my own. However, all the research I would have to do in order to make the book realistic is holding back. LOL

About the book

Victoria Wells is an awesome writer.I read A Special Summer and When Loves Comes Around and I truely feel in love with both stories.When reading her books ,it is so very realistic and you’re like OMG I have been there done that or know of someone who has.I’m sitting and counting the days until A Key To My Heart hits the stores.Victoria keep writing the wonderful world of romance becauce you write about true love not lust and that makes me and a lot woman very happy.

I have also had the pleasure in reading both of Victoria’s novels, “A Special Summer” and “When Love Comes Around”. I enjoy the realness and depth of each character portrayed. They each have a unique personality which is revealed beautifully through their dialogue and actions.
There were quite a few surprises in both books, so I can’t wait to see what unexpected twists are waiting in the next novel!!!!

I know this has been an exciting journey for you to finally have Ava’s Story debut, and you know I have been anxiously waiting over a year to read Ava’s mysterious yet romantic story. Your books and awesome writing talent, help play an important part in my real life experience of true romance with my hero and husband of 23 years. Summer and Nick’s story opened my eyes and touched my heart, and then you gave us Starr and Kevin….OMG! What can I not say about this book…it was totally awesome! From the Las Vegas surprise to the acknowledgement of a real marriage, this book opened my heart. One of my favorite quotes out of this book was when Kevin was about to make love to Starr for the very first time and he told her after undressing her, “I don’t want another man to see you like this. To do the things to you that I’m about to do. After tonight, you belong to me!” WOW is all I can say!
